Autologous fat transfer to the breasts

Autologous fat transfer to the breasts

Each year, new modern procedures are being tested by surgeons and practitioners to fight off fat. But over the course of time, they have discovered that adipose deposits are important in body remodeling interventions. This can provide fat to augment the breasts, hips and buttocks and is also used in creating better contour in other areas of the body.

Breast Augmentation Procedures for Fat Transfer

Surgeons need to extract the fat using liposuction process. Fat can be extracted from parts of the bodies with adipose deposits. Usually, fat extraction is performed on the abdomen, thighs and hips. This procedure gives double benefits to the patient as it removes unwanted fat from the body and in return will be used to augment the breasts.

After fat extraction, it must be processed. Only pure fat is being used in the surgery. Blood, tissue fragments and other impurities must be removed. Pure fat consists only of cellular blend with stem cells and adipose cells that can regenerate. Injecting pure fat into the breasts is the final stage of the procedure. The regenerative and stem cells along with the formation of blood vessels sustain oxygen for the transplant.

Autologous fat transfer is advantageous as only natural products that the body is familiar with are being used for the surgery. It also provides permanent result. Other breast augmentation that used synthetic products usually gives good results that can last for 6 months up to 2 years only. Patients can also come out of hospital a couple of hours after the procedure.
